After 16 years with Wakodo-kai since 2010, I'll lead one final walk as I relocate from Hong Kong at month's end. For this last outing, I'm returning to my favourite route: Tai Koo Shing to the Hong Kong Football Club, followed by meal at the club. What makes this special is that my wife will be joining us—a rare treat! If you'd like to see her and reconnect before I leave, please come along for what will be a memorable farewell with the group.

Route: Fung Tak Estate/Fung Mei Path/Diamond Hill Quarry/Diamond Hill
Diamond Hill's name likely stems from shimmering minerals found in the granite quarried here. The government operated this site from the 1960s until 1982, leaving behind distinctive ruins now accessible via Fung Mei Path—a popular route with local residents. The most striking remnant, a towering structure locals call the "tree house" or "Sky City," stands as a historical landmark of the quarry era. Two sets of stone ruins remain: one entwined with tree roots, the other remarkably preserved. Both have been reclaimed by vegetation and transformed into a beloved destination for hikers, dragon boat enthusiasts, and photographers. As Ngau Chi Wan Village faces demolition, this notice offers a final tribute to the site's remarkable heritage and the community bidding it farewell.
